25+ Years of Service

Rooted in Ubuntu,
Growing Together

Founded in 1999, the Ubuntu Foundation draws its name and spirit from the Nguni Bantu philosophy that recognises our shared humanity. We believe that a person is a person through other people — and that true progress is only possible when we rise together.

From rural villages to urban communities, we work alongside people — not for them — to build systems of education, healthcare, and economic empowerment that endure long after our programs end.

Community First

Every decision is made with and by the communities we serve.

Dignity Always

We honour the inherent worth of every human being.

Lasting Change

We build capacity, not dependency.

To restore dignity,
ignite potential,
and build belonging.

"A person is a person through other persons. None of us comes into the world fully formed. We would not know how to think, or walk, or speak, or behave as human beings unless we learned it from other human beings."

— Archbishop Desmond Tutu
